Treasure seekers must visit Jen by Jennifer a unique shop in the heart of downtown Plainfield, Illinois. "Art that works" fills the shop adjacent to the artist's home. And the space radiates in the brilliant colors of her artwork. Garden inspired pieces range from watering cans to chest of drawers with coordinating chairs all of which are hand-painted by the artist who is also the shop owner. If you have a chance and the timing is right, stop and visit with Jennifer. She loves random conversation and the swapping of stories and ideas. During summer hours you might find her at work on a new piece or getting her nails dirty in the garden which inspires the landscapes she translates from her mind to her functional art. She will encourage you to "water in color" with a one of a kind watering can or to "reach for the sky" on a hand-painted stool as all of her items are to be used and loved not settled on a shelf or set in a corner.
